ABOUT US
Grace Shalom Church was established with a clear vision inspired by Galatians 1:3-4. The gift of mercy to the perishing through the extension of grace and peace that flows from God the Father through his eternal son, Jesus Christ, and by the mighty counsel of the Holy Spirit.
Rooted in this vision, the founders, Stanley George and Sudha Stanley George, opened the physical location of the church at Southampton Parks and Recreation Meeting Hall, 913 Willow Street, Southampton PA 18966.
“To save others from the fire of Eternal Judgment” - Jude 1:23
"Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
- Galatians 1:3-4
Our Mission and Beliefs
The mission of the church is to communicate the full gospel of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit
Grace Shalom church's commission is to preach the full gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The name of the church is inspired by Galatians 1:3 where Paul’s salutation to the Galatian church was recorded: "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” The vision of the founders is reflected in the naming of the church, for the church is founded for the mission of extending the vision of grace and peace. "Shalom" is the Hebrew translation of the word "Peace" - “A complete and all-encompassing Peace."
We aim to spread the news of the grace and peace of Jesus Christ to communities that need them without any social, cultural, lingual or religious barriers. We worship, pray and preach based on the foundation of the sixty-six book of the Holy Bible.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the sixty-six books of the Bible, which is inspired and only authoritative book for edification, correction, encouragement, and comfort.
We believe that the greatest gift is the salvation of God, through the redemption of sin in Jesus Christ. We believe all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and through repentance, a person receives forgiveness of sin and is justified by faith. We believe that justification, regeneration, and the new birth are the free gift of God and the work of Salvation that is received by faith alone.
We believe in the full immersion water baptism, which is an external symbol of expressing our faith in Jesus Christ and experiencing Christ's crucifixion in death and resurrection. By experiencing complete submission, putting all fleshly desires by faith to death, and experiencing pure joy when coming out of the water as a gift of new life.
We believe in witnessing the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, to save others from the fire and evil of the present world; the full gospel needs to be preached in the power of the Holy Spirit, and the manifestation of truth in an individual’s life. We believe the truth shall set them free.
We believe in sanctified life and holiness, living through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the lord’s supper, the bread when taken represents the body of Christ, and the wine when taken represents his blood which is a new covenant between God and man for the forgiveness of Sin.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking of tongues, filling, and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the filling of the Holy Spirit, walking in the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit operations with signs and wonder, proclaiming the kingdom of Heaven is near, healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing the lepers, and casting out the demons (Matthew 10:8).
Our style of worship is Pentecostal Worship, praying, clapping of hands, singing, music, dancing, speaking in tongues, prophesying, and interpretation of tongues, and practicing other gifts of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of God leads.
We believe in the rapture, the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
